Lenham Acorns Pre-school - Looking forward to Christmas activities
Well, what a
busy term we've had! Our Boot Fair went really well and we raised a lot
of money, so thank you to all who came and supported us.This
term we have been learning about colours and have had a lot of fun making
a wonderful collage of Elmer the Elephant and his friends. Now
we are looking forward to our Christmas Party and to seeing Father Christmas
there.
We have some exciting
prizes in our Christmas Raffle (thanks to the generosity of local people
and businesses), so if you would like to buy a ticket please phone Jayne
Rhodes on 01622 859423. All money raised will go to buy equipment for
our children.
Merry Christmas to
all our children and their families - may you have a very happy time.

Parents and Toddlers Wednesday
fun
Lenham Parent and Toddlers
meet every Wednesday at the Parish Hall from 9.30 to 11.30am. Children
under five are welcome free. There is a charge of £1.50 for one
child and £2 for two children over the age of five. There is free
juice and biscuits for the children and free tea and coffee for the parent/carers.
Everyone is welcome.
It should be emphasised that
this is a voluntary organisation where children and parents can meet in
a social atmosphere and the charge merely covers expenses.
To hear more about
this Group telephone Debbie Archer on 851962.
Did you see
that??!!
The peregrine falcon swooped low and fast over our heads missing us by
inches, in pursuit of its prey. The fastest bird in the world and so close
- the children were awestruck.
That was just part of the magic of our day at Farming World. Lenham Acorns
Pre-School were on their annual outing. Happy, safe children enjoying
and learning.
That's the aim
of our Pre-School, which meets every weekday morning in the United Reformed
Church Hall in Maidstone Road. Trained, experienced and dedicated staff
and a caring environment with exciting things to do, friends to make and
much to learn.
Our philosophy
is learning through play with children from two and a half to five years
old.
We have DFEE registered teaching staff and follow the Foundation State
Curriculum.

Lenham Acorns Pre-School
(October 2001) By the
time this is published we will be well into our new term. We started our
term back in early September and welcomed many new families to Acorns.
With the help of caring staff and very friendly and welcoming 'older'
children they have settled in well and are enjoying the many varied activities
we offer.
During this Autumn Term will be looking at all the exciting changes, which
happen around at this time of year. We will be experimenting with leaf
rubbing, collages, exploring colour changes and shapes, we well as getting
to know Elmer The Elephant (not in person, you'll understand!).
It'll be great to be able to spend time outside the hall on the new play
area, which was finished last term. We will be developing ball skills,
having fun with bean bags and quoits, playing with our parachute and improving
our climbing, hopping, skipping and jumping! (Not all at once!).
This month we shall be celebrating several birthdays and so let's wish
"Happy Birthday" to Matthew, Sophie, Harry and Mollie, and hope
they have a wonderful day.
A fun-filled time for investigating, whilst learning and developing through
play.
Why not come along and see how much fun your child can have at our pre-school?
Our sessions are every weekday morning in the United Reformed Church Hall,
Maidstone Road.
